Table Manners

On Sunday, we celebrated Nana's birthday by eating lunch together after church. We had a huge table full of kids and grandkids and lots of fun. Our kids were really well behaved, but acted like the preschooler's they are. They moved around a little, dropped some crayons and all had to potty at least once. Alston managed to break away once and attempted to sit with another family... it was pretty funny! A few minutes into lunch another booth near us filled up. Two of the occupants appeared to be grandmother and grandson. He was crying when they got there and his behavior only got worse. He bucked and wiggled and screamed at the top of his lungs. Once when I was in the bathroom changing Sophie, she brought him into a stall and attempted to calm him down. I'm guessing you know by now that ...

Sweet Giggles

Forgive me for the terribly off-centered photograph. Sophie was having so much fun in the bathtub and I couldn't help but snap away. Unfortunately, she doesn't respond really well when I'm behind the camera, so I held it under my chin. Clearly, I'm not too good at that! ...

She didn't know what to make of the spoon and the cereal was running out of her mouth. I thickened it up a little and she started sucking it off the spoon. Apprehension turned to determination as she fought to keep every little morsel in her mouth. I scraped it off of her face, her hands and her bib in an attempt to salvage every last ...

Garden Girls

Lookie, lookie... it's a sneak peek of Sophie's three month session! We sweated it out in the garden last night and I am so thrilled with how beautiful these are. Hopefully I'll get to share them all very soon. Right, K? ...

Sophie’s Status

So, I've been holding out on you. Sophie is a LOT of fun. I've been storing up photos to make the case. When I first flip her over in the mornings, she's a little startled. That is until she sees her mommy! We got a new rubber mat at Ross a few weeks ago and boy do we love it. Since we never found a rug for the space, it makes a soft place to play. We look in the mirror a lot. And we're working on holding our toys, and sitting up like a big girl! ...
