I did it! I managed to film and edit video clips from every month of the entire year?! If it sounds like I’m a little overly excited, I am. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with something for an extended period of time, but I’m so glad I did. I know these are nothing more than glorified home videos and you might not even enjoy watching them, but we all love looking back on them and I’m glad to have them all published and organized in one easy place. We do have gobs more video than I actually share here, but it’s not all for public consumption and since I edit most of the sound out, I save the ones of the girls talking or sharing more about their lives.
December’s video is considerably longer than most, but it was really hard to cut it down, even this much. We did so many fun things throughout the month and the girls all had such a great time celebrating the holidays together. If you’re up for almost eleven minutes of holiday fun, then go ahead and press play.
That’s a wrap on Christmas, friends. Maybe — just maybe — we’ll have our Christmas tree down before we get January’s video edited, but I’m not making any promises!
Disclaimer: Yes, there is a video of Polly riding in my lap in the car. Yes, I’m a huge advocate of infant safety seats and I could have excluded it altogether, but this video is for us, so I went ahead and left it in. We were at a local racetrack looking at Christmas lights and the posted speed limit is 5 mph. It’s a gravel drive with very little traffic and we felt okay letting Polly get out of her seat for a few minutes before the hour drive home. The highway lights and running Christmas lights make it seem like we are moving much faster than we are.
