A Blog About My Favorite Things

Dailies / Week 18

May 6, 2013 by Kristin Fields Leave a Comment

Started #insanity again today. TIME. TO. DIE. Day 2. My lunch staple: greens, grilled chicken, poco de gallo and white cheddar. Yummy! I could stand to lay off the cheese, but that's the one thing I refuse to give up :). #beachbodychallenge #insanity Afternoon adventures!

120/365: This the Monday I started my fitness challenge. Josh was in Iowa, so I sent him a sweaty text after I finished the first Insanity workout. I was ready for bed immediately after. 121/365: On Tuesday, I had my favorite salad for lunch and that afternoon the weather was so nice that I let the girls play outside with our neighbors until dark. This is Carson Riley and he is SK’s best friend. She calls him by his first and middle name and it is adorable.

Day 3. My least favorite part of the process. #insanity #beachbodychallenge #shakeology Are we sensing a cup theme today? Shakeology on top, water on the bottom. #insanity #shakeology #bringingitinmay #rolltideyall Day 4 lunch: homemade chicken salad and celery stalks. #whereismycheeseburger

122/365: I bought a blender cup to mix my shakes in the mornings, but Wednesday was the only day I used it. Josh has stolen it for his protein shakes, but I have to fix mine in the blender now so that I can add PB and a banana. 123/365: I couldn’t resist this photo when I realized I was sporting two Bama Championship cups – one for water and one for my shake. I blogged about our favorite chicken salad recipe and ate it with celery sticks for lunch.

I have an unhealthy addiction to sticky notes... #smalltownproblems

124/365: This is what my desk looked like on Friday. I have a slight obsession with office supplies, especially sticky notes and colored flags. I’ve had an exceptionally busy month and this is always what it looks like by the end of the week! After work that night, we loaded up for groceries, Burger King and some decorating at church. We were still hoping our Sweet Daddy was on his way home from Iowa, but there would be a few more delays on the horizon.

Thanks to the Delta wake up call at 3 o'clock this morning, I swapped out winter for summer. My closet might be tiny, but she packs a punch :). And apparently I have a love affair with these jeans. Every size from a 10 to a 4. What a difference 18 months makes!!! Guess who FINALLY escaped Iowa?!

125/365: Delta called my cell phone shortly after 3:30 in the morning to tell me that Josh’s flight had, once again, been delayed. I’m not sure why I’m the one getting notifications, but I couldn’t go back to sleep. Instead, I organized my closet and swapped out winter for summer. We have tiny wardrobes since the Rock House doesn’t do closets, and I have to really make the space count. I cracked up when I found four identical pair of jeans from the Gap ranging in size from a 10 to a 4. Can you tell I’m a faithful shopper? FINALLY, our daddy got home from Iowa and we were so happy to put our hands on him!

A pretty braid for church this morning. Enjoying Italian food on Cinco de Mayo.

126/365: On Sunday morning, Ella requested a “loose” braid for church, so I went with the snake braid. This girl has seriously beautiful hair – I am beyond jealous. It was Cinco de Mayo and we knew all of the Mexican restaurants in town would be slammed, so when we got a sitter for the evening we opted for Italian instead. It was so good and even better to be sitting across the table from my favorite person after a super long week without him.
