A Blog About My Favorite Things

Dailies / Week 14

My view at work this afternoon ;). Francis Chan rocks my world...

92/365: Ella had an appointment with her pediatrician on Monday morning and there just wasn’t a way to get her back to school and me on to the office in an efficient way. We decided to skip kindergarten that day and she hung out with me instead. Since we were officially past lent, she was THRILLED to indulge in Chick-fil-A for lunch. She spent most of her time watching movies and decimating my office supplies. 93/265: The only photo I took on Tuesday was for #pinstyle and you’ve already seen that one. Ooops! 94/265: On Wednesday my Bible study group started reading Francis Chan’s Forgotten God. It is so good. I loved this quote from FC that our fearless shared.

Well, that didn't last long. She's off to Polly Pockets now! Guess who just made her husband's day!?!?!?!?! See you in NOLA, Marcus.

95/365: On Thursday, Josh & Ella were off on an adventure and SK & I were at home playing. She went through just about every toy we owned and ended with Polly Pockets. That girl loves those little people. 96/365: On Friday, I proved what a fantastic wife I really am. Josh loves Mumford & Sons. Loves. It is one of the few bands that we can agree on. Even though he is being a DEAR and taking me to see Mayer for Mother’s Day later this month, he’s not a fan of JM and he really doesn’t do concerts. We’ve only been to a handful together in the last 17 years, but it isn’t for a lack of trying on my part. M&S didn’t have any tour dates near us, but when we heard they were adding a date in New Orleans we decided to make a road trip. Tickets are notoriously difficult to get and apparently the show sold out in six minutes. I snagged us some and they weren’t even pricey! We are so excited about a mid-week date night in NOLA. I know… impulsive and crazy, but who cares?!?!

Best performance of the year!! What?! Don't you wear your purse on your head, too?

97/365: Saturday brought dance competition number two for this season. We were lucky and it was at the historic Alabama theatre which is only an hour drive. The girls did so good, their best performance of the year, for sure! They didn’t dance until after dinner and the awards didn’t start until almost eleven o’clock, so we were exhausted when we fell into bed after midnight. 98/365: This is SK’s serious face. We were on our way home from church Sunday afternoon and she had insisted on wearing her purse around her neck all night. What, you don’t wear yours on your head?!
