and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.

Remember that story? Well, today… that could have been me. Let me just whip out the numbered list and you can see what I mean.

1. I parked at a meter today because I thought it might rain.

2. It didn’t rain, so the meter maids were out in full force.

3. After thinking I wouldn’t have to walk a block to my car, I didn’t want to.

4. I paid the meter twice this morning.

5. The third time, I decided to move my car.

6. It wouldn’t crank.

7. I ran inside to call CAPS for a free jump-off.

8. I got a parking ticket. Thirty bucks. Crap.

9. They jumped me off and I left work early.

10. I called Josh to tell him and he was in the process of receiving a speeding ticket.

11. The only consolation was that I’d get home early.

12. After stopping to get Ella my car wouldn’t crank.

13. Joel jumped me off and I left Ella again to go to Auto Zone.

14. The battery is DEAD (witness a wreck during this).

15. It’s replacement cost me $145.

16. I call SD to complain. SD complains. Wants me to have the alternator checked.

17. Alternator checked.

18. Alternator bad.

19. Alternator… $222.

20. Call SD to complain. SD complains.

21. Guy feels bad, checks alternator again.

22. Alternator NOT BAD.

23. Almost spent $222 for nothing. Crap.

24. Bought groceries.

25. Got home at 6:30.

25. Then found this…

One of two pair of shoes Beemer ate today, since Josh put the laundry in the dining room away from her. I guess she got bored and ate my shoes instead. The good news is the other pair weren’t my favorites, even though they can’t be salvaged. These WERE my favorites, but aren’t permanently damaged. I found all the beads and hopefully with a huge needle and some pliers I can whip them back into shape.

It looks like tonight I’ll be doing some creative banking and some shoe repair while watching 24. Not to mention find a new solution for shoe storage.

UPDATE: I shouldn’t have posted so soon. Since then, Josh ran over and squished the trashcan and Beemer had to have a bath after rolling around in something that smells less than desirable!
