A Blog About My Favorite Things

Baby Bathtime

April 23, 2010 by Kristin Fields 1 Comment

It’s tradition around here for grandmothers to bathe the babies for the first time once they’re home. My Gran-mom bathed me & K and Gran bathed Ella on her first day home. We invited both grandmothers over and Nana helped me give Sophie her first bath. She did really well with the head-washing, but was not thrilled about being naked!

We did the bathing in the sink and Nana rinsed her in my mom’s giant green plastic cookie bowl (where Ella was bathed, too!)

Ella was a big helper.

She dried her off,

and even brushed her hair!

We’ve done things a little differently since then and have finally figured out what works best for us. I laughed because it is definitely easier to bathe her by myself than with fifteen people watching, helping, photographing and laughing. It isn’t nearly as much fun, but I certainly get it done in half the time!
