A Blog About My Favorite Things

Dailies / Week 8

upload This is my "trying not to cry as I cross the finish line" face. Race photos are terrible!

50/365: I know it’s a bit of a cop-out, but my “photo” on Monday was a screenshot of my official race finish. 51/365: Tuesday wasn’t much better, since I shared this image of me crossing the finish line on Sunday, too. I was just a little excited about all things race-related this week!

I had the best lunch date ever. Best friends having babies = awesome! Thanks for the visit @rmh2b3. Reading scary stories in bed with Bells.

52/365: On Wednesday, I had the pleasure of hanging out at the hospital for lunch and a long visit with my best friend Ryan. For the first time, she had a baby without me and it was WEIRD! Emry Kate was born on Monday and has been in the NICU this week, but she is doing great. I might not have gotten to touch her, but I did get to watch her sleep for a really long time and it was the perfect way to spend my lunch break. 53/365: An author came to speak at Ella’s school last week and she’s been talking about his scary book nonstop. Gran gave her the $7 to buy the book on Thursday and daddy and I read a few chapters before bed.

I know I e said this before, but BEST salad in town. #brickandtin @ldeep Blogging & breakfast.

54/365: Y’all, this is the BEST salad in Birmingham. Brick & Tin has a fabulous menu no matter how you slice it, but I eat their “classic” salad at least twice a week (last week it was three!). It is just iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, carrots and cheese, but the homemade ranch dressing is heavy on the dill and I always get grilled chicken. Maybe I’ll eat this again today… 55/365: Saturday morning was bliss. Josh went to work out and the girls were being lazy, so I made a pot of coffee, some pigs-in-a-blanket and got caught up on blogging. Aren’t you glad?

56/365: This little nugget was so cute on Sunday afternoon. She wanted to dress up in tights and a fluffy skirt for Mission Friends and then said, “Take a picture of my face!” I could eat her in one bite. She never fails to be cute and funny. The snap on the right was taken just before bed last night so that I could share it today. I keep forgetting to tell the story of how I found out I was going to be an aunt. K gave me an interiors book from IKEA for my birthday (in November) and this Instax photo was taped into the cover. Presh, right? This sweet momma is going to find out boy or girl today and WE. CANNOT. WAIT. #teamanotherlittlegirl #butwewilloveasmellyboyjustasmuch
