I need for you to know that I LOVE my child and I love my dog. However, for the last hour I have listened to non-stop screaming and barking. Beemer barks because that’s what she does… unfortunately. I’m thinking about investing in a top-o-the-line bark collar because nothing seems to work. Either that or a pet psychic!
Ella is screaming for a number of reasons.
Reason #1 – she hates to “potty”. Don’t read CAN’T potty, read HATES to potty. I’ve decided that she doesn’t like it. She will go as long as she possibly can in between potty visits. AAAGGGHHH. To the best of my recollection it has been 3 days. She cries and complains, we sit on the potty, we stand up. Instead of trying, she tries to prevent!
Reason #2 – she wanted to take a bath instead of a shower. Unfortunately in singleparentdom you don’t get a choice. When Josh is at home we can tag-team this effort, but when it’s just us girls we have lots to accomplish and less hands to participate. We both needed to get clean so we showered together. She screamed the entire time – I’m sure we missed a few spots.
Reason #3 – she isn’t ready for bed. Tough luck. I’m so worn out and my head is throbbing, so it’s bedtime no matter what time the clock says.
Please pray that they hush sometime soon. Otherwise I might be packing up my sleeping bag and coming to your house. Be prepared. Did you hear that? It was Beemer… BARKING!
