I have gotten quite a few requests via email and Instagram to share a hand-lettering tutorial. I’m not sure that “tutorial” is really the right word since I’m showing you how *I* do things, not necessarily how *you* should do them. Either way, I sat down armed with my camera and a few of my favorite supplies to show you a few easy things you can do to help make your letters look adorable.
I am still trying to figure out the best way to shoot these videos. I have a great camera, but it wasn’t being cooperative so I ended up shooting this with my phone. Hence the crazy angle and the fact that you can see my nose almost the entire time. Also, I say something about “making the letters more interesting” approximately 764 times, so there’s that. What started out as a short video, quickly morphed into 45 minutes of me drawing for you. I’ve managed to shave it down to just under a half hour, but you might want to grab a coffee before you sit down to watch!
